ingredients

1 1/2 pound plums, pitted and chopped
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Cassis liqueur
1/2 cup water

directions

Put plums, ginger and sugar into a blender. Pour equal parts Cassis and water until blender can process the solid ingredients.

If using an ice cream maker, place into the cold canister and prepare per manufacturer's instructions.

Without an ice cream maker, place the mixture into a metal bowl and put in the freezer. With a metal spoon, stir the mixture gently every 20 minutes until the sorbet consistency is achieved.

Garnish with mint leaf and serve.
