Ingredients:
1 acorn squash -- halved
1 tablespoon butter or magazine
1 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
Sprinkle cinnamon
1 can Dr. Pepper -- to fill cavity

Directions:

Cut squash in half, scoop out seeds and strings. Using crumpled aluminum foil, make a ring or "nest" to hold the squash. Set the squash down in the nest, cut side up. This supports the squash on a cookie sheet. Rub half of the butter/margarine in the cavity of each squash half, mix cinnamon into brown sugar and spread over the buttered squash cavities. Fill each cavity with Dr. Pepper.

Bake at 350 until tender. About 30-60 minutes, depending on size of squash. Better to cook slow and longer than fast and hot.
