Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

ingredients
2 pounds asparagus
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 ounces Asiago cheese
directions
Remove woody stems from stalks of the asparagus by bending the stalks and snapping of the ends.
In a baking pan gently toss asparagus with oil, pepper and salt; spread evenly. Bake in a 400 degrees F oven for 15 minutes.
Using the largest part of your cheese grater, grate Asiago cheese.
When asparagus is almost cooked, sprinkle with cheese and return to oven for 2-4 minutes to melt cheese.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
