I was suspicious of this recipe when the directions read "cut into squares when cool" and nowhere did it mention heating the ingredients. However, I went ahead and made the bars as directed and they turned out to be just crumbly cereal with sugar and chips. I'm afraid the author forgot a step in the instructions, like maybe heating the ingredients before pouring them over the Rice Krispies. Is that possible?

I lost my copy of this recipe and I finally found it here! I'm so excited! I used to make this all the time and it is so incredibly easy and versatile. Sometimes I omit the rice crispies or I use mint chocolate chips instead. It always turns out great!
