Classic Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients:
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 pounds beef stew meat, trimmed if necessary
1 large onion, sliced
1 pound baby carrots
1 stalk celery, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 1/2 pound potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks
1 can (14.5 oz. size) lower-sodium beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch, MIXED WITH
2 tablespoons water
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder in slow cooker. Add beef; stir to coat. Add onion, carrots, celery and potatoes, beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; stir. Cover; cook on low 5-1/2 to 7-1/2 hours.
Mix cornstarch with the water. Stir into stew. Cover; cook 30 minutes ore or until carrots are cooked and meat is tender.
