Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

ingredients
1 1/2 cup butter
3 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup sour cream
6 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
directions
Cream butter, sugar, and eggs; add vanilla. Mix soda with sour cream. Add flour and salt alternately with sour cream mixture.
Refrigerate overnight. Drop by leveled tablespoons onto cookie sheet covered with waxed paper. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes.

I made these cookies for the holidays. I took some to work and the ladies loved them. I sprinkled them with red and green sugars before baking. I also baked them a little longer than the listed 10 minutes. I baked them until they were lightly browned on the edges and not wet looking. Moist cookie getting many compliments and recipe requests.
