1 pound lean ground beef or turkey

6 cans (6 ounce size) tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried marjoram
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1 bay leaf
cooked pasta
In a large skillet, brown beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.

Excellent and easy. You can let this cook all day and it won't overcook. I omit the brown sugar. I've also done this with ground turkey but don't use the extra lean kind or it will be too dry.

I made this sauce today for dinner, and I used 2 (1 lb. cans of diced tomatoes) instead of just 1. My family really enjoyed this sauce, and they are picky eaters!
