ingredients
1 can (28 ounce size) peeled Italian plum tomatoes
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (6 ounce size) tomato paste
1 1/4 teaspoon oregano (or more, to taste)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon cooking wine
directions
Puree tomatoes and tomato paste in a blender or food processor.
In a medium saucepan, heat oil briefly, and add garlic. Saute 15 seconds, being careful not to let it brown. Add pureed tomatoes, oregano, salt, pepper, and wine. Bring sauce to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in parsley.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Love buffalo wings? Get that same hot, zippy flavor in everything from deviled eggs to enchiladas. And of course: wings.

Ever since my hubby found this recipe, we've been using it exclusively on homemade pizzas using Wolfgang Puck's dough recipe. Absolutely delicious!
