1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 large tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
4 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste
Parmesan cheese, to taste
Combine the basil, garlic, chopped tomatoes, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well. Let the sauce stand at room temperature for 1 hour.
Toss the sauce with hot, cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
