No Weep Meringue Recipe

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon cornstarch
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
3 egg whites, at room temperature
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a saucepan, cook cornstarch, sugar and water over medium heat until thick. Cool to room temperature and add egg whites, unbeaten. Beat on medium speed until shiny, stiff peaks form.
Spread over hot pie filling and bake for 15 minutes.
