Ingredients:
3 cups cut asparagus (in 1 1/2 inch pieces)
1 1/2 cup chopped onions
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
12 ounces raw peeled deveined shrimp
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/8 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1/2 cup orange juice
3 teaspoons grated lemon rind
2 (15-ounce) cans navy or great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounces dry spinach fettuccine, cooked according to package directions

Directions:

Over medium-high heat, saute asparagus, onions and garlic in oil in a nonreactive large skillet 5 minutes until crisp-tender. Stir in shrimp, oregano and red pepper flakes; saute 5 minutes until shrimp is cooked and pink. Stir in orange juice and lemon rind.

Coarsely mash about 1/4 of the beans; stir mashed and whole beans into skillet and cook over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes until hot, stirring frequently. Stir in salt. Serve over fettuccine.
