The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

I have made this recipe twice so far. I can't keep it in my house my oldest son just eats them up as soon as they come out of the oven. When I first saw the name I was a little leary to make the cookie. But I'm glad I did. I have to double the recipe. Thanks for the Recipe
