ingredients
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup applesauce
1 egg, beaten
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Stir together flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir baking soda into applesauce, add egg.
Combine with the butter and sugar mixture. Gradually mix in flour mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 or 3 inches apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
