Amish Angel Food Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup coconut
Directions:
Mix shortening and sugar until creamy; add egg.Sift all dry ingredients together. Add to shortening mixture. Roll dough into small balls and dip into water, then into brown sugar. Put on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 F for 15 minutes.
