Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

This is simple, nutritious and tasty! One word of caution though, you are told to heat the oil over high heat - but then be wary of the garlic burning. Don't use high heat - there really isn't any need. Medium to medium-high is perfect and you won't have to worry about the garlic burning the second you drop it in the oil!
