German Chocolate Pie Recipe

Serves/Makes: 10
Ingredients:
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
1 package (4 ounce) sweet cooking chocolate
1/4 cup margarine
1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup unsifted flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/3 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
In heavy saucepan over low heat melt chocolate and margarine. Remove from heat and add milk, vanilla, salt, flour and eggs; mix well. Reserve 1/4 cup coconut for garnish. Stir coconut and nuts into chocolate. Pour into pie shell; sprinkle coconut over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until top is firm and coconut is lightly brown. Cool and top with Cool Whip.
