Serves/Makes:   64 pcs

  

Ingredients:
1 cup golden raisins
1 cup dried apricots
1 cup warm water
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
4 3/4 ounces package slivered almonds

Directions:

Soak raisins and apricots in warm water for half an hour. Drain off water and set aside. Put fruit through a grinder. Return to water and bring to a boil. Add sugar, cornstarch and salt. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly and being careful not to scorch.

Add gelatin which has been softened in 1/2 cup very cold water. Cook until very thick, stirring constantly. Pour into an 8 x 8 inch greased baking dish. Let cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and cut into bite-sized pieces.
