Apple Coffee Cake Recipe

Serves/Makes: 8
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Butter
1 Egg
1 tablespoon Milk
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
4 Apples, peeled -- sliced thin
3 ounces gelatin -- apple or cherry
1 cup Sugar
Directions:
Cream 1/4 c of butter, egg and milk. Add 1 c flour and baking powder. Pat dough into 9" square pan. Stand apart apple slices into dough closely together. Sprinkle gelatin over apples. Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over cake.
Bake 350F for 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream or cool and drizzle with powdered sugar glaze.
