Heath Bars Recipe

Serves/Makes: 48
Ingredients:
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts -- chopped
6 English toffee candy bars
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour and butter until crumbly; reserve 1 cup. To remaining crumb mixture, add egg, milk, baking soda, salt and vanilla, mixing well to combine. Spread into 13x9 baking pan. Sprinkle reserved cup of crumbs over top evenly, then chopped nuts. Crush toffee bars and sprinkle over all. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into bars.
