This recipe made the best apple butter ever. It was thick and rich...just the way apple butter is supposed to be. I added the spices before I cooked on low overnight, then added the sugar in the a.m. When I thought it was thick enough, I ran it through the blender; the end result was perfect. It was nice that you don't have to constantly hover over the stove to keep it from burning.

This recipe is seriously lacking. Should call for some type of liquid to keep the uncovered apples from drying up and burning!!! Do not even try it.
