This shredded slow cooker recipe is unbeatable for parties. Beef and pork simmered with brown sugar, vinegar, and chili powder make a sweet and tangy sandwich filling, and hopefully some leftovers too.

I tried this recipe without testing it first to serve at a family gathering. I doubled it in a large crockpot. I substituted chuck roast for both the beef and pork...using a total of 6 pounds of beef cut into 1 inch cubes and doubling sauce ingredients. The meat shredded easily after cooking the recommended amount of time.
This was perfect for the large crowd and the left overs were very tasty too! I've made it twice since then. It's gotten many compliments each time. Thanks for the delicious recipe!
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
