ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ounces chocolate, melted
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 cup chopped nuts, optional
directions
Preheat and grease waffle iron.
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and chocolate. Stir in vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients in another bowl and add to mixture alternately with milk. Add nuts.
As for regular waffles, use a low-medium heat setting. Drop a large tablespoonful of batter for each section and bake like waffles.
