Ingredients:
1 package (19-20 oz size) brownie mix
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
***Vanilla Butter Glaze***
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1 1/2 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon milk (more if needed)

Directions:

Brownies: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (for dark coated metal pan preheat to 325 degrees F). Position a rack in the lower third of the oven. Spray the bottom only of an 8" square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray or foil line the pan.

In a medium mixing bowl, mix the brownie mix, melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla, and eggs with a wooden spoon until just blended and all dry ingredient are moistened. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 40 to 44 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2" from side of pan comes out clean or almost clean. Do not overbake. Transfer to a wire rack.

Prepare Vanilla Butter Glaze; spread over warm brownies and cool completely. Cut into squares.

Vanilla Butter Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk the powdered sugar, melted butter and vanilla until blended and smooth. Add just enough milk, a teaspoon at a time, to make glaze a thin spreading consistency, whisking until smooth.
