Ingredients:
***Cake***
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted (no substitutes)
4 eggs
1 pinch salt
1 cup self-rising flour
1 can (16-ounce) chocolate syrup
***Frosting***
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

CAKE: Mix 1 cup sugar, melted butter, eggs, salt, flour and chocolate syrup. Pour into a well-greased 13-by-9-inch pan. BAKE at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until cake tests done and pulls away slightly from sides of pan. Punch holes all over cake. Pour warm frosting over warm cake and serve.

FROSTING: Heat sugar, butter and evaporated milk in a saucepan. Mix and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
