Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Butter
2 Eggs
1/4 cup Cocoa
1 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Warm water
1/2 cup Milk -- sour
2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder

Directions:

Cream sugar and butter. Add well beaten yolks. Place coca and soda in cup; fill with warm water and beat well.

Add sour milk and beat egg whites. Sift flour and baking powder and add to batter. Bake in loaf tin.

Note: No time or temperature given. Bake in moderate 350 F. oven until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
