Strawberry Bran Muffins

ingredients
1 1/2 cup 100% bran cereal
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup strawberries, finely chopped
12 large whole strawberries, stems removed
directions
Soak your bran in milk for 15 minutes. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
Sift the next 5 ingredients. Stir in the egg and butter, just till blended. Fold in the finely chopped strawberries.
Fill paper-lined or Pam sprayed muffin tins full, place a whole strawberry on each muffin, and bake approximately 20 minutes.

I put way less sugar, still very good. I also left out the whole strawberries. Not enough substance though because the muffins were very small.
