Chocolate Turtle Cookies

ingredients
Cookie
2 ounces chocolate
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Icing
1/2 ounce chocolate
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
2 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
powdered sugar
directions
COOKIES: Melt chocolate and margarine. Beat the eggs. Add sugar. Fold chocolate mixture into egg mixture. Fold in flour and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon on hot waffle iron (low). Bake 50 seconds. Cool and frost.
ICING: Boil chocolate, brown sugar, water, and butter 3 minutes. Take off heat. Add powdered sugar until thick. Put on turtles. Sprinkle with ground nuts.

these were so good....it took about 20 minutes to make.i have the old school waffle iron [4 little ones] it made 6 little waffles.i had to double the icing to....it was easy and delish...i recommend these for all sweet breakfast fans.... chef pesci
