1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
4 cups chopped cabbage
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup uncooked instant rice
1 cup water
6 ounces tomato paste
15 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder


Brown beef and onion in skillet; drain well. Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cover; cook on low for 4-5 hours.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!! Use it for a dinner at church--first time I have made it--added basil, oregano, tomato sauce and fresh garlic (not powder). Definitely a keeper!! Thanks

I love cabbage rolls but honestly hate the whole rolling process. This is a good substitute as it has all the same ingredients, just with less work. I do cook it longer than 4-5 hours though because I like the cabbage to be more tender.
