ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 1/4 c. instant potato flakes plus
4 servings instant potato flakes
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 Tb instant onion flakes
1/4 cup ketchup
1 cup milk
1/2 cup grated cheese


directions

Mix ground beef, 1 1/4 c. potato flakes, egg, salt, pepper, onion flakes, catsup and milk. Spread in 9" pie plate. Bake 35 to 40 min. at 350°. Prepare remaining potato flakes as directed on pkg. Pile on top of meat loaf for meringue. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 3 to 4 min. until cheese melts.
