1 pound ground beef 1 medium onion, chopped 1 can (10 1/2-ounce size) condensed cream of mushroom soup 1 can (10.75 ounce size) condensed cream of chicken soup 1 can (8 ounce size) sliced water chestnuts, drained 1 cup chopped celery 1 cup water 1 cup uncooked instant rice 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 cup chow mein noodles
Preheat electric skillet at 325 degrees F. Add ground beef and onion. Brown well.
Add remaining ingredients except noodles. Bring to a boil. Turn heat control down until pilot light goes out. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
