4 pounds boneless whole pork loin roast
12 ounces apple jelly
1/2 cup water
2 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Cut the roast in half: place in a 5-quart slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the jelly, water and garlic; pour over roast. Sprinkle with parsley, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 8-1/2 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F and meat is tender.

Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with cooking juices if desired.

REVIEW: recipe rating
The roast was great even though I had the slow cooker on "high" the whole time. I meant to turn it down but my husband & I are football fanatics. We got caught up in the game and I forgot all about it but it tasted delious anyway. Will definitely make this again.

How long does this take? It says 5 hrs at the top then says to cook for 8 hrs

CDKitchen Staff Reply:
No, it says "Ready in: > 5 hours" which means GREATER than (over) 5 hours. The directions of the recipe specify the exact cooking time.
