Ingredients:
2 1/4 pounds round steak, about 3/4" thick
3 tablespoons shortening
1 1/2 can beef gravy (10-1/4 oz. size)
3/4 cup sliced onion
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon marjoram, crushed
6 medium carrots, cut in 1-1/2" pieces
1 1/2 can small, whole white potatoes, drained (16 oz. size)
3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

Directions:

Pound steak with meat hammer; cut into serving-size pieces. In skillet, brown meat in shortening; pour off fat. Stir in gravy, onion, salt and marjoram. Cover; cook over low heat 30 minutes.

Add carrots; cook 45 minutes more. Add potatoes and mushrooms; cook uncovered 15 minutes more or until vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally.
