It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Don't make the classic margarita cocktail more complicated than it needs to be. All you need is fresh lime juice, tequila, and triple sec, so skip those frozen mixes.

ice
1 1/2 ounce tequila
1 1/2 ounce triple sec
1 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1 dash salt
lime wedge
Fill a glass half-full with ice. If desired, rim the glass with salt before filling with ice.
Combine the tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and salt in a shaker with ice. Shake well then strain into the prepared glass. Serve immediately with a wedge of lime as garnish.

Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
