Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup onion, finely chopped
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons flour
1 can (14 oz. size) whole, peeled tomatoes
1 cup hot water
1 can (16 oz. size) tomato sauce
2 beef bouillon cubes, DISSOLVED IN
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1 pint heavy cream

Directions:

Saute onions and mushrooms in butter 5 minutes or until onions become translucent. Add flour, mixing well. Cook until bubbly.

Add hot water, tomato sauce, bouillon mix and pepper, stirring well after each addition. Cook until soup bubbles. Remove from heat, adjusting seasonings to taste.
