ingredients

1 tablespoon yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup buttermilk, warmed
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 egg
1/4 cup wheat germ
2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour

directions

Grease a 1 pound coffee can. Preheat crock pot on high for 15 minutes.

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine all ingredients and knead until smooth.

Place dough in greased can and cover loosely with foil. Place 1/2 cup water in bottom of crock pot. Place a trivet in the bottom and place the can on the trivet (so can is not in the water).

Cover and cook on high for 3 hours.
