Easy Bran Bread

ingredients
2 cups bran cereal
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cup bread flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons corn oil
3/4 cup corn syrup
2 1/4 cups milk
directions
Grease two medium-size loaf pans with the mazola oil. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the dry ingredients. Add the corn syrup, milk and the beaten egg. Pour into loaf pans.
Let stand for 20 minutes, then bake for 45 minutes. Let cool for about 10 minutes before removing bread from pans. Serve warm or cold.
For a different version, add one cup chopped nut meats with the flour.
