ingredients
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 whole egg
1/4 cup shortening, melted
1 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add eggs, shortening, milk and vanilla. Stir until just moistened, then add walnuts. Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
