Crispy Cheese Wafers

ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup flour
1 cup crisped rice cereal
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Cream butter. Stir in cheese, then flour. Mix well. Stir in cereal and season with cayenne pepper.
Roll into walnut size balls and place on cookie sheet. Flatten balls with a fork, making a criss-cross pattern. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool and store in an airtight container.
