Japanese Chicken Salad

2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/2 cup slivered almonds
ramen noodles -- crumbled, uncooked
2 cups cooked chicken, white meat
1 small head cabbage, shredded
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup salad oil
seasoning packet from noodles
3 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
Toast sesame seeds, slivered almonds, and noodles; set aside.
In a large bowl combine chicken, cabbage, toasted ramen noodles, and green onions.
For dressing, mix together oil, seasoning from noodles, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour dressing over salad mixture. Stir well. Store overnight.
To serve, sprinkle on sesame seeds and almonds and toss.
