ingredients
2 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 pound ground pork sausage
1 cup chopped onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cup beer
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup water
3 tablespoons chili powder, or to taste
2 tablespoons cumin
2 tablespoons beef bouillon granules
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste
2 teaspoons flour
1 tablespoon warm water
directions
Brown the beef and sausage in a Dutch oven. Drain off most of the fat. Add the onion and garlic; stir for 5-7 minutes or until tender. Add remaining ingredients except flour and water. Mix well and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and let cook for 2 hours. Combine the flour and water until smooth. Stir into chili. Cook, covered, for 30 more minutes.
