Old Fashioned Sugar Cream Pie

ingredients
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 2/3 cup cream
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
yellow food coloring (optional)
nutmeg
directions
Mix sugar and flour together. Heat cream and add sugar mixture and cook until slightly thickened. Add butter, coloring and vanilla and pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. Do not over-bake. Filling will seem unbaked in center when it's taken from oven.
