Fresh Blackberry Pie

1 quart fresh blackberries, washed & drained
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 pie pastry (2-crust, 9-inch size)
1 tablespoon butter
Mix blackberries with sugar, salt, and flour. Fill pastry lined pie pan. Dot with butter. Adjust top crust and cut 3 or 4 slits in the top.
Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 25 minutes longer.

I can't review this recipe because it didn't make pie. It made blackberry soup. Not sure if I did something wrong or if the directions left something out. I let the berries sit in the sugar/flour mixture for over 20 minutes and did not move the pie after removing it from the oven to allow it to gel... but it never gelled.
