Ingredients:
20 cups popcorn
1 cup peanuts
***Coating***
1 cup molasses
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon mixed spices (mace, ginger, cinnamon & nutmeg)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
Cook coating to hard ball stage 265 degrees. Stir to keep from scorching. Add butter and mixed spice. Add baking soda.
Stir lightly and while still foaming, pour over a mixture of 20 cups popcorn and 1 cup peanuts. Pour in flat buttered pan. When cool, crumble into small pieces.
