ingredients
1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese 1 teaspoon minced garlic 1 package (10 ounce size) frozen spinach, thawed and well drained 1 can (14 ounce size) water-packed artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a shallow casserole dish.
In a bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Place the dish in the oven and bake at 325 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly in the middle.
Serve warm with bread slices or chips.
You can also heat this in the microwave instead of baking.
recipe tips
Chop the spinach and artichokes finely for a smoother dip.
For a creamier texture, add a little cream cheese to the mixture.
Season the dip with salt, pepper, or a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
Let the dip sit for a few minutes after baking or microwaving to thicken up.
Garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese before serving, if desired.
Try baking the dip in a bread bowl for an impressive presentation.
Be careful not to overcook in the microwave, as the cheeses can separate.
common recipe questions
Can I use fresh spinach instead of frozen?
Yes, you can use 1 pound fresh spinach in place of the 10 ounces of frozen spinach. Cook it down, chop it, and make sure it's well-drained before using.

Can I add other cheeses to the dip?
Yes, you can add different cheeses like cheddar or Gouda for a different flavor.
How long should I microwave the dip if I choose not to bake it?
Microwave on high for 4-5 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the dip is hot and bubbly.
What can I serve with this spinach dip?
Serve with tortilla chips, pita bread, sliced baguette, or fresh vegetables.
Can I make this dip in advance?
Yes, you can prepare it a day ahead and refrigerate. Bake or microwave it before serving.
Can I freeze this dip?
Freezing is not recommended as the texture will change.
How do I store leftovers?
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

I have made this a few times...I don't like artichokes so I leave them out. otherwise i followed the recipe. next time i made it i used probably twice as much garlic as called for and it was better. i also warm it in my crock pot so it can stay warm during parties! works great as long as you stir it frequently while the cheese is melting.

My sister in law made this dip for a recent sledding party. She made the recipe as we found it and slightly warmed the tortilla chips we used for dipping. Excellent, has definitely become a "friends favorite!"

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
