2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 package (6 ounce size) chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 can (21 ounce size) cherry pie filling
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


Combine all ingredients and pour into 2 greased and floured cake pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

This cake turned out very dense. Was it my oven or is that the way it is supposed to be? Thanks!

recipe rating
Only baked for 50 mins, turned out to be a very moist cake then. Not much of a cherry flavor, mostly chocolate, but the cherry was there subtly. Added a simple cake glaze on top, which was nice.
