INGREDIENTS:

2 pounds ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
3/4 cup water
2 jar (7 ounce size) green taco sauce
1 can (16 ounce size) refried beans
9 flour tortillas
2 cups shredded Mexican or Cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped green onions

DIRECTIONS:

Brown ground beef, drain. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Add taco sauce, simmer 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Cover bottom of 9x13 dish with 1/3 of the tortillas, tearing them to fit.

Spread half of meat mixture over tortillas, sprinkle 1/4 of the cheese over meat. Layer 1/3 more tortillas. Spread beans on these. Cover with sour cream. Sprinkle with onions.

Place remaining 1/3 tortillas on top, cover with rest of meat and cheese.

Bake 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.
