
Overnight Apple Oatmeal

2 cups low-fat milk
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon butter, cut in bits
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup chopped apples
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup light cream or half-and-half
Grease the inside of a 2-quart crock pot.
Combine the milk, honey, butter, salt, cinnamon, oats, apples, raisins, and walnuts in a bowl until well mixed. Pour into the greased crock pot.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours (overnight).
Just before serving, stir in the cream. Serve warm.
