Ingredients: 1/4 cup flour 4 pounds cube steaks 3 tablespoons oil 1 medium onion, chopped 1 tablespoon vinegar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1/2 cup ketchup 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1/2 cup water 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Directions: Season the flour with salt and pepper as desired (a hefty dash of each should work).
Dredge the cube steaks in the flour mixture, shake off any excess and set aside.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the floured cube steaks and cook on both sides until browned. Add the onion and cook until it begins to soften.
In a measuring cup or bowl, combine the vinegar, lemon juice, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, water, and brown sugar. Whisk or stir to combine. Pour the mixture over the cube steaks.
Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Let cook for 30-35 minutes or until the steak is tender.
