
Crab Soup

2 cups fresh lump crab meat, picked over for shells
2 cups milk
2 cups half and half
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon ground mace
salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons dry sherry, optional
1/2 cup saltine crackers, very finely crushed
In a crock pot, combine the crab, milk, half and half, butter, mace, and salt and pepper as desired. Stir gently to combine.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3 hours or until heated through.
Stir in the sherry and cracker crumbs. Mix well. Cover the crock pot and cook for 30 more minutes. Serve hot. Adjust seasoning as needed.
