Peppermint Schnapps

Serves/Makes: 3 quarts    |   Ready In: < 30 minutes

Ingredients:
10 cups water
6 cups sugar
1 ounce peppermint extract
1 pint Everclear grain alcohol (190 proof)

Directions:
Combine the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium-high heat, stir well. Bring to a boil and let boil for 1 minute.

Remove the pan from the heat and let cool completely.

Add the peppermint extract and Everclear. Transfer the schnapps to airtight jars or bottles. Store at room temperature.

Use in cocktails or serve simply on the rocks.
